ShalomStore.in (“Shalom Store”, “we”) runs shalomstore.in. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It follows the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
– Details you give us: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and messages you send through the site or WhatsApp.
– Order details: the products you buy, order value, delivery status, and any return or refund.
– Payment confirmation: Razorpay tells us whether a payment succeeded. We never receive your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank password.
– Technical details: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and cookies (see below).
Why we use it
– To take, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle cancellations, returns and refunds.
– To send order updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
– To answer your questions.
– To stop fraud and keep the site secure.
– To send new-arrival and offer emails, only if you tick the box to receive them. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.
– To keep the records that tax and accounting law require.
Who we share it with
Only what each one needs:
– Razorpay, to process payments.
– Shiprocket and its courier partners, to deliver your parcel. The courier sees your name, address and phone number.
– Hostinger, which hosts this website, and our email provider.
– Government authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies
Cookies keep items in your cart, remember your login, and tell us which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser; the cart and checkout then stop working.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for 8 years, as Indian tax law requires. Account details are kept while your account is open. Enquiries are kept for 2 years. We delete or anonymise everything else when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent for marketing, by writing to support@shalomstore.in. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your data does not remove invoice records we must keep by law.
Security
The site runs on HTTPS. Access to customer data is limited to the people who pack and support your orders.
Children
We sell children’s Bibles and books, but orders must be placed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
